Mission: To enhance the future generation.
Children are categorically grouped among the vulnerable groups of people in any society due to their fragile nature which determines the need for care and love when handling all matters concerning their wellbeing. The Ugandan constitution defines children as all persons under the age of 18 years. As research indicates, 1 in 5 children in Uganda do not complete primary school level, 75% of the children in Uganda suffer violence and at least 10% of girls are married before they are 15 years of age.
Love Uganda Foundation is one of the many bodies in Uganda that are working tirelessly to preserve the young generation and empower it for the future.
Under its children`s development program, Love Uganda Foundation supports the well-being of currently 330 children through two arms namely; the orphanage and the external program.
Love Uganda Foundation runs an orphanage located in Kalagi – Mukono district which houses 30 orphans and vulnerable children. At the Love Uganda Orphanage, vulnerable children are given a home, family, and a future that they would never have had elsewhere.
Under the external program, Love Uganda Foundation cares for 300 orphans and vulnerable children who live with their relatives, or foster parents. The children registered under this program are those who live within a family but lack the basic needs required for every child to have a fulfilling life. Currently, the 300 children under the external program are located in Katete and Kijjabijo, Katete villages in Mukono district.
Within the children`s development program, Love Uganda Foundation cares for the welfare of orphans and vulnerable children through catering to their education, providing shelter, medical care, clothing, and feeding the children.
