Hope to the vulnerable People

Have you found yourself in a situation where you wake up and you don’t know where to get food from? Let us assume you were an Orphan or a widow somewhere on the streets of Kampala, or even lacking a place to stay along the streets, could you imagine the feeling?

For this matter therefore, allow me credit Love Uganda Foundation for the great work done in empowering and giving hope to the vulnerable people including; Orphans, Widows, and Elders, among others across several regions of Uganda.

The foundation has established different projects to empower vulnerable people. Some of these projects include; an Orphanage in Mukono district that is taking care of 30 children; and the Elderly project in Gulu District that is empowering the lives of those affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army(LRA) war.

The Foundation is striving hard to fulfill the Preamble of the United Nations (UN) CHARTER of;
(i) saving, succeeding generations from the scourge of war,
(ii) reaffirming faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small,
(iii) establishing conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained,
(iv) promoting social progress and better standards of living in larger freedom, and
(v) practicing tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbors.

The government of Uganda has got to work hand in hand with Love Uganda Foundation in rebuilding the lives of those who are vulnerable and devastated after losing their loved ones as a result of wars or HIV/ AIDS. Ugandans should welcome this strong move and emulate the work of this foundation in rebuilding the lives of those orphaned and widowed due to AIDS and poverty.
