Meet Muwanguzi Allan
Both of Allan’s parents are alive, but due to extreme poverty, they have struggled to provide even the most basic needs for their children. They are peasant parents who depend on small-scale farming, which does not generate enough income to sustain the family. Because of this hardship, the family has been forced to move from one place to another in search of survival, leaving the children without a stable and conducive environment to grow up in.
In addition to instability, Allan was exposed to domestic violence and child labor at a young age. Instead of focusing on school and enjoying his childhood, he often worried about food, safety, and where the family would stay next.
During a community outreach program carried out by Love Uganda Foundation in Masajja, Wakiso District, Allan’s father learned about the organization’s mission to empower and support vulnerable children. Seeing it as a lifeline for his son’s future, he courageously sought help.
Today, Allan is in a safer environment where he can attend school consistently and begin rebuilding his confidence and hope. He is hardworking and eager to learn, and he dreams of becoming someone who can one day support his family and uplift others.
