Love Uganda Foundation Stories of Impact

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND CHILD ABUSE IN UGANDA- ! What you can do about it!
November 20, 2023

“A home is not a house made of bricks but a family made of Love”

A home is not just a house to live in but a family to belong to. Love Uganda Foundation has over the past years been doing its best to rescue and save vulnerable children and empower helpless families through its community empowerment programs. We are glad to announce that some of our rescued kids have successfully completed their Primary level and they are now entering a new step of education life (secondary level). You cannot imagine the excitement, joy, and happiness that are reflected on these kids’ faces. We have compiled their testimonies and would love to share them with you so that you can apply them in impacting lives and communities out there.

This is what Love Uganda Foundation 2023 S.1 entrants have got to say;

Sempebwa Fred – The Future Lawyer

“I am 16 years old. I joined Love Uganda Foundation in 2017. By then life was not easy at home since I was under the care of my grandparent together with my other 9 siblings. Going to school was a hustle for all of us as our grand was not in a position of raising school fees and other scholastic materials in time.

When I joined Love Uganda Foundation in 2017, things changed drastically. School fees were no longer my problem and I have never lacked anything since then.

I am happy that I am done with my primary level and look forward to facing secondary life with more hope and courage. If I can use one word to describe Love Uganda Foundation, it would be “Love.” I dream of being a lawyer so that I can help as many needy as I can.

My message to any child out there who might be going through what I went through or even worse is that they should always listen to their parents.

All this has been made possible through our dear sponsors, May the Good God bless you abundantly.”

Othieno Simon – The Future Engineer

“I am 16 years old. I joined Love Uganda Foundation in 2017. Before then, I was staying with my father and I never knew who my mother was. Going to school was difficult for me since my father did not have enough money. I remember, I used not to get lunch from school since I could not afford to pay the money for food.

When Love Uganda Foundation came to our school, I was recruited and brought to Love Uganda Foundation Orphanage in Kalagi – Mukono district. Since then life changed, my school fees get cleared in time, and I get scholastic materials and other basic needs of life. I have enjoyed the Love Uganda family since we are treated equally.

I am happy that I completed my primary seven and now heading to senior one. I can’t wait to be at University in a few years to come! If I can use one word to describe Love Uganda Foundation, it would be “Home.”

I dream of becoming an engineer and a musician – I already have some songs written down waiting for God to open a way for me and I record them and air them out.

My message to the kids out there is that everything can be done since never knew that one day I’d be here.

All this has been made possible through our donors and sponsors. Thank you”

Kamusiime Prosy – The Future Doctor.

“I am 15 years old. I used to stay with my parents (Mum and Dad) before coming to Love Uganda Foundation Orphanage. Life at School was not the best for me as they used to chase me for school fees. It was my mother’s friend who used to pay for my school fees.

In 2017, my uncle brought me to Love Uganda Foundation and things changed since then. I am now done with my primary education and have never faced school fees challenges since then. I have never lacked any basic needs of life since I stepped here. My only challenge at the beginning was the language barrier since we were many kids from different regions but now we can all communicate in English or Luganda.

My dream is to become a doctor and start my Organization which does similar things to those of Love Uganda Foundation.  If I can use one word to describe Love Uganda Foundation, it would be “Home.”

My message to kids out there is that they should pray to God, respect others, and study hard.

All my life happiness is a tribute to the work done by our dear sponsor, the Love Uganda Foundation team as well as donors. I wish them all the best”

Niwarimpa Gerald – The Future Musician

“I am 14 years old. Life before joining Love Uganda Foundation in 2014 was a bad one. I used to stay with my father and my three siblings. Life was characterized by hunger, walking long distances to collect water for domestic use, and lack of school fees.

When I joined Love Uganda Foundation in 2014, I joined school and everything has been moving smoothly. I am now done with my p.7. I am excited about joining secondary.

I dream of becoming a musician.

If I were to describe Love Uganda Foundation using one word, it would be “Home” since this place has been the best home for me.

My message to the kids out there is that they should have discipline, respect their parents and take advantage of any opportunity to study as education is the fundamental key to success.

Thanks to our dear sponsors and donors”

Taufik Kavulu – The future Accountant

“I am 13 years old. I joined Love Uganda Foundation in 2018. Before then, I used to stay with my parents (Dad and Mum). I used to go to school but life was not that easy as I was fond of being chased from school time and gain. We used to eat once a day and I would go to school without shoes and my hair could not be cut short.

My dad brought me to Love Uganda Foundation. I got a sponsor as soon as I arrived. Life became better for me since I was no longer being chased from school and I used to go with snacks at school.

I started eating thrice a day unlike in the former days.  I am happy to have completed my primary seven courtesy of Love Uganda Foundation donors and sponsors. May, God bless you abundantly. My future dream is to become an Accountant.

If I were to describe Love Uganda Foundation using one word, it would be “Home” because I have never seen a better home than here.

My message to the kids out there is that they should always pray and believe in themselves.”

Akatwijuka Dominic – The overcomer

“I am 14 years old. Before joining Love Uganda Foundation in 2017, I used to stay with my poor mother. I never went to school since there was no money to take me there. Meeting our daily family needs was difficult. That is when my uncle brought me to Love Uganda Foundation Orphanage. I did not get a sponsor immediately but the Director – Uncle Robert has been paying my school fees and I have never been chased from school.

I am glad that I have completed my primary level and pray to God that I get a sponsor to support me through the secondary level.

If I were to describe Love Uganda Foundation using one word, it would be “Home.” My message to the many kids out there is that they should always pray to God, work hard, and respect their parents.”

Auno Pamella – The Accountant

“I am 15 years old. I used to stay with my mother, she was the one paying school fees much as it was a hustle. I would sometimes stop going to school due to the lack of fees.

In 2017, my sister brought me to Love Uganda Foundation. Since then, life has changed a lot since I get the basic needs of life and school requirements. I am excited to have completed my primary education and I am hoping for better days ahead. All this has been possible through Love Uganda Foundation sponsorship programs. I am proud of you. My dream is to become an accountant.

If I were to describe Love Uganda Foundation using one word, it would be “Love.” My message to the kids out there is that they should never give up at any point in life.”

Nantale Joan – The Fashion Designer

“I am 15 years old. I used to stay with my mother before joining Love Uganda Foundation in 2018. Life was difficult for us as my mother had to do a lot of work to meet my life needs including school fees. The school I used to go to was not the best but I had no choice since that is what my mother could afford.

Later on, my mother brought me to Love Uganda Foundation where I managed to complete my primary level. You cannot imagine how happy I am! I have never lacked school fees since I joined the organization.

My dream is to become a Fashion Designer.

My advice to many kids out there is that they should make good friends and never give up in life.

Thanks to our dear sponsors and lovely donors, May God bless you.”

Nakisuyi Ritah – The Make-up artist

“I am 14 years old. I used to stay with my mother who was both our father and our mother. I never went to school since there was no money. My siblings and I used to sell tomatoes on the roadsides in order to get something to eat. On the other hand, my mother used to wash clothes so that she can raise money for our living.

Life was generally difficult until I joined Love Uganda Foundation in 2016. Since then, life has been good for me as I have never been chased away from school or lacked the basic needs of life. I am happy that I am done with primary school. Thanks to my sponsors.

I love music and dancing and I dream of becoming a make-up artist in the future.

If I were to describe Love Uganda Foundation using one word, it would be “Family.”

My message to kids out there is that they should always pray to God and be Patient in life.”
