Under this segment of our environmental program, we carry out sensitization in communities about the proper ways of managing the waste that is produced in their day to day lives. This is especially in slums which are one of the most affected areas by poor waste disposal. In this, we carry out door to door sessions in slums as we educate the people about the dangers of waste and products such as plastic on the environment both in the short and long run and the ways in which this waste can be reduced and managed.
We also sensitize the people about the 4Rs of plastic use which are; Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. In so doing, we intend create awareness to the individual about the difference that they can create by the decisions that they make when it comes to the use of plastic.
