SIMBA CASINO VISITS LOVE UGANDA FOUNDATION ORPHANAGE

SIMBA CASINO MAKES ITS SECOND VISIT TO LOVE UGANDA FOUNDATION ORPHANS.

Simba Casino offers its second visit to Love Uganda Foundation orphanage in Kalagi. It’s an empowering act that changes lives.

Corporate social responsibility becoming one theme that is emerging in the financial world, annual reports show that several corporate companies have immersed in giving back to communities in countless ways.

Some organizations have been witnessed visiting orphanages, others building local schools, a few doing public clean ups, others have empowered women or the youth and some donated to the needy. Generally, today we see more of the corporate companies getting close to the informal clients and giving back to them.

Even if Love Uganda Foundation has not registered so many companies considering it, despite it being a struggling NGO that caters for orphanages, both at the orphanage in Kalagi and those in the external program.

Nevertheless, we are very grateful upon the consistent formula of Simba Casino; every year donating to Love Uganda Foundation. An activity that has brought a significant change in the organization.

Last year, around the same time, Global Pasha Hotels and Casino through Simba Casino visited our orphanage in Kalagi and donated he sums of things for home consumption; rice, books, floor, charcoal bricklets, sugar, soap, toothpaste, toilet papers, matooke, meat and many others, we couldn’t thank them enough but rather only to pray for God’s blessings to follow them.

This year they did it again. From the time we received a phone call from Doreen (staff member at Simba Casino), we could not get over the excitement.

The children were over whelmed on receiving the good news about the visit by the Simba Casino members. They just wouldn’t wait long enough for the visitors to reach. Eagerly peeping outside the gate and through the windows, all the kids would talk about was the joy, happiness and laughter that Simba Casino brought us last year.

By 3 pm, the long awaited visitors had arrived at the home. Just like their culture, they had carried a lot of food staff, soap, slippers, scholastic materials, floor, rice, sugar, tooth paste, toilet papers, sodas, biscuits, firewood to mention but a few.

Only exciting moments watching the children offload the things from the vehicle, with great joy as they welcomed the visitors with hugs, high fives and huge smiles. None was left unhappy, even the home mother, volunteers and the foundation staff were all equally happy.

Following our routine, it’s a mandate for all children to introduce themselves to all visitors at the home. So inside the house they did, stating their names, age, class and dream career. Of course this was accompanied with a few welcoming songs, it was just a day of rejoicing.

Simba Casino staff interacted with the children one by one as a way of making them feel loved and cared for. They said to the kids empowering words, words that would brighten their future.

Mr. Steve, an accountant at Simba Casino inspired one of our children to becoming an accountant. He said that accountants never go poor, they deal with money and they circulate money among others. This left many of the children at home desiring to become accountants in the future.

Taking them around the home, Simba Casino staff was very impressed with the way the home was kept clean, how we tried our best to ensure that these innocent orphans live in changed lives and with an empowered future.

Simba Casino chose to bless us this year, hopefully even next year and perhaps even the following years. Such simple acts of charity change lives, don’t hold yourself back.

We can all surely change lives and empower generations of the innocent children in Uganda, with combined efforts from corporate companies, other NGOs, supportive individuals and the government.

And at any cause, if you want to give back to the community, join hands with Love Uganda foundation to change lives and empower the next generation.
